Local History |
International History |
Alpha Delta Pi was founded on May 15, 1851 at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia by six incredible young women, led by Eugenia Tucker Fitzgerald. These women and their Adelphean Society hold the distinction of being the first secret society for women and the mother of today's sorority system. We were founded on the principles of scholarship, leadership, service to others, social, and sisterhood, and these principles still guide the policies and programs of the sorority today. |
Today |
Alpha Delta Pi has initiated more than 215,000 women, many of whom are actively involved in one of our over 134 collegiate chapters or 150 alumnae associations throughout the United States and Canada. Our Executive Office is currently located in Atlanta, Georgia. |
