The Social club is geared for beginning or returning students interested in meeting new people, learning how to dance, and just plain having fun. We will learn club style dances (Salsa, Merengue), standard (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, and Quickstep), as well as the latin dances (Cha-cha, Rumba, Swing/Jive, and Samba). We will plan outings out on the town visiting various clubs and dance studios.

There is NO membership dues scheduled for social club. Our club provides this as a public service. However we expect social student members to come to our club events and outings..
Even though we do not enforce any fee for these lessons, we strongly encourage our social club members (especially community members and faculty/staff) to donate money or reusable dance items to the club.
Charlotte Dancesport is for more serious members who want to spend additional time improving their dance abilities. We will learn both the Standard Dances (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, and Quickstep) as well as the Latin dances (Cha-cha, Rumba, Swing/Jive, and Samba). Most members should plan on plan on participation in competitions (DCDI in early November, Triangle Open in Late Feb). Throughout the semester we will bring in Professional Dance Instructors at no extra expense to the team members.
