Local Resources
Support
Time Out Youth is a grass roots LGBT youth service organization. Our purpose is
to provide support, education, and advocacy to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender,
and questioning (LGBTQ) youth between the ages of 13 through 23 in Charlotte and
the surrounding areas. Through carefully designed programs and services, we provide
an array of opportunities for youth to grow, learn and prosper, in a safe environment
free from judgment and condemnation. We choose instead to show love and support
by extending our hand in the spirit of acceptance, because we believe as Rev. Dr.
Martin Luther King believed that, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
The Lesbian and Gay Community Center provides space and opportunity
to nurture, celebrate, and empower our diverse LGBT community through programs,
events, and collaboration.
