Recently Separated From The Military?

Medical Benefits
The Department of Veterans Affairs has new eligibility rules. These rules apply to both Active and Reserve Components personnel who served in designated combat zones since November 11, 1998. From the date of separation from active duty, a veteran is eligible for 2 years of free priority care.

Services offered, but not limited to:

  • Mental Health

  • Primary Care

  • Dental Service

  • Case Management

  • Emergency Care

  • Physical Therapy

  • Infectious Disease

  • Prosthetics

  • Social Work Services

  • Women’s Health

  • Pharmacy

  • Substance Abuse

  • Sexual Trauma Services

  • Stress Management 

Dental Care
If a veteran did not receive a pre-separation dental exam from the military, then the veteran is eligible to receive a dental exam from the VA. The veteran must sign up within 90 days of their discharge from active duty. Reserve and National Guard Components that have been activated may be eligible for this service too. Contact the liaison person at you local VA.
