The Delta Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded in December 1934 by five women:
   

v     Soror Ethel Butler

v     Soror Thelma Harris Hunt

v     Soror Lucille Robinson

v     Soror Laura Davidson Rollins

v     Soror Sarah Scott Schofield

The Chapter is responsible for sponsoring and advising the Upsilon Xi Chapter, as well as the Kappa Chapter at Johnson C. Smith and the Beta Sigma Chapter at Wingate University.  The Delta Zeta Chapter also sponsors the Archonette, Amicae, and Amicette groups.  The chapter exemplifies service by participating in the annual Walk-A-Ton for the March of Dimes and in the Women's Wellness Conference.
